Action Together New Jersey (ATNJ) presents the next installment in its series highlighting various ATNJ members who successfully ran for office this past fall. Today’s spotlight is on Susan Korngut, a new member of the Northfield City Council.

Susan is the first woman elected to the Northfield City Council since 2013, and she looks forward to serving the town and its residents. After being nominated and accepted into the highly competitive National Candidate Training with PCCC (Progressive Change Campaign Committee) in Washington D.C., she decided to run for office for the first time.

“I am thrilled about Susan’s win to serve the people of Northfield as a member of the City Council.  Since I’ve known Susan, she has been open-minded and approached new ideas with gusto, including attending the highly respected National Candidate Training.  As a member of Action Together New Jersey (ATNJ), Susan has been part of a statewide groundswell of women running for office for the first time and stepping up to serve their communities.  We will continue to support Susan and wish her much success in her new endeavor.”  Uyen “Winn” Khuong, Executive Director, ATNJ.
