CANDIDATE PROFILE:
RIELLY KARSH & MEGAN JOHNSON
TOWN OF CLINTON COMMON COUNCIL

January 18, 2018

Action Together New Jersey (ATNJ) continues its series of publications introducing you to various ATNJ members who successfully ran for office this past fall. Today’s focus is on Rielly Karsh and Megan Johnson, two ATNJ members who were recently elected to the Town of Clinton Common Council.

The Hunterdon County Chapter of ATNJ helped both their campaigns by giving them the idea to run in the first place.  Rielly was accepted into the highly competitive National Candidate Training with PCCC (Progressive Change Campaign Committee) in Washington D.C. after her nomination by Uyen “Winn” Khuong, the Executive Director of ATNJ.

Rielly also holds the position of Central Regional Director of ATNJ, and had this to say about her run with Megan in the Town of Clinton: “I met Megan through ATNJ – Hunterdon County. When I was pushing other people to run for office, I realized that I should just step up and be an example. Once I made that decision, I asked Megan to join me and she agreed. Leading up to and during the campaign, our county chapter ATNJ-Hunterdon was a place to look for support, ask for opinions, and share information. We also received significant canvassing help from Christina Russoniello and her team.”

Further, Rielly noted that “Megan Johnson is a strong, intelligent woman who is an excellent addition to the Town of Clinton Common Council. Her background and professionalism will be a wonderful asset to the town. I am thrilled to be able to count Megan as a dear friend and I am excited to work with her to make our town even better in the coming years.”

“These two dedicated and hard-working women are exemplars of the motto ‘BE the change’.  They saw needs in their town and dove right in to serve their community.  ATNJ-Hunterdon will continue to provide them with the support they need, and we are excited to see them serving the citizens in the Town of Clinton.”  Uyen “Winn” Khuong, Executive Director, ATNJ.
