Tell NJ State Legislators to Pass Governor Murphy’s Budget

It has come down to this. We fought about whether or not then-candidate Phil Murphy was progressive enough. Then we canvassed and phone banked to get him elected. He’s been in for 6 months and now we will have to fight and pressure our state Legislators in order to pass a budget that relies on long-term revenue to fund the things that he campaigned on. PLEASE help! Tell NJ state legislators to pass Governor Murphy’s budget!

Tell NJ State Legislators to Pass Governor Murphy's Budget

OPTION 1: CALL your DEM Legislators 609-400-4763 and if you live in a Republican District call Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin at (732) 855-7441, and Senate President Sweeney at (856) 251-9801 or (856) 339-0808, Assembly Budget Chair Assemblywoman Eliana Pintor Marin at (973) 589-0713 and Senate Budget Chair Sen. Paul Sarlo at (201) 804-8118.

We want:

  1. SALES TAX at 7%
  2. MILLIONAIRE’S TAX
  3. COMBINED REPORTING (which would mean, any company that found itself having to pay a higher Corporate Business Tax would still be able to move their NJ profits to another state)

OPTION 2: Send a LETTER with this easy tool.

NOTE: This link targets Democratic Legislative electeds only. If you have Republican state representatives, they will not change their minds, so please call the 4 decision makers above and put pressure on them.

OPTION 3: SHOW UP tomorrow to show your support. 225 West State Street, Trenton.

OPTION 4: SHOW UP Thursday, 10am at that State House Annex for a MASS MOBILIZATION.

Do 1, 2, or ALL. We need to apply pressure until their voicemail boxes are full.
