Please help me win a seat on the Mendham Township Committee on Nov. 7, 2017. I have volunteered in my community for nearly 18 years and have a track record of success — on township and nonprofit boards, organizing events and fundraising for the community. I took this leap into politics after I sat at a Township Committee meeting and listened to them threaten to shut down our little swimming hole and refuse to allocate funds to rebuild the town’s only playground. I said enough is enough! I believe recreation is vital to our community, and I want to ensure our town continues to invest in sports fields, playgrounds, our little Brookside Beach, hiking paths and special events.
I want to ensure that the voices of residents are heard by the administration. I will fight for a more responsive, transparent Township Committee that listens. Since announcing, I have been meeting with residents at the post office, local events, at parties and walking in neighborhoods. During this campaign, I will continue speaking with residents and learning what’s on their minds. If elected, I will use my professional expertise in public relations and journalism to create avenues for better communication with residents.
Finally, too often the Township Committee looks at issues in an ad-hoc way without a long-range view on the impact to the community. I want to partner with residents and build a vision for what Mendham can be now, next year and into the future!
I appreciate donations of any amount to support my campaign! Your donation will buy coffee and snacks for upcoming neighborhood get-togethers. You will help purchase lawn signs and leave-behind literature. Campaigns are costly, and every penny helps! Lawn signs cost $8 per sign, and a town-wide mailing will run upward of $2,000.
