HASBROUCK HEIGHTS BOROUGH COUNCIL
January 18, 2018
Action Together New Jersey (ATNJ) continues its series of publications introducing you to various ATNJ members who successfully ran for office this past fall. Chris Hillman, newly elected to the Hasbrouck Heights Borough Council, is the focus of today’s publication.
Chris Hillman is a progressive Democrat who just won a seat on the borough council in Hasbrouck Heights, located in Bergen County. Chris is a policy advisor for Health Professionals and Allied Employees labor union, advocating for patient safety and workers’ rights. He formerly served as Chief of Staff for Assemblyman Tim Eustace (D38).
“Chris is a hard-working, caring, and socially conscious individual who will serve the diverse needs of Hasbrouck Heights well. He is already making a positive impact advocating for his residents. They are very fortunate to have him working in collaboration with state and federal legislators to best serve Hasbrouck Heights. He played an active role as political advisor in multiple Democratic legislative races across Northern New Jersey in the 2017 election cycle, including my run for state assembly. We are very proud of his win!” Gina Danesi Trish, Northwest Regional Director, Action Together New Jersey.
ATNJ directors and members have worked tirelessly both as candidates and as supporters in local elections across the state. ATNJ remains committed to working for change, and that change begins on the local level with each individual election.
