ATNJ Strongly Condemns Today's SCOTUS Ruling On the Muslim Ban

Earlier today, the Supreme Court of the United States, in a 5-4 ruling, upheld the Trump Administration’s ban on several Muslim-majority countries.

Action Together New Jersey strongly condemns the Supreme Court’s decision and will join partner organizations to reduce the impact of the Administration’s racially-charged policies. We believe today’s decision will be an eternal blemish on the court’s legacy and will only serve to embolden the Trump Administration in its pursuit of unconstitutional and un-American policies.

Each and every day, people from all around the world come to the United States because it promises to be a land of new opportunities. The international community recognizes the United States as a beacon of hope. Yet, recently, with the onset of the Trump Administration’s all-out war on minority groups, our allies and enemies are beginning to see the weaknesses dividing our country, which will eventually lead to extreme instability.

Our organization is counting on progressive voters and activists to continue the fight and block the Administration’s efforts to restrict freedoms. Our nation’s credibility is at stake and we ask you to join Action Together New Jersey and our partner organizations in generating a groundswell of support to turn Congress blue and serve as a line of defense against Trump and his hate-fueled policies.
