ATNJ Announces New Leaders
Four Women in the Role of Regional Directors
January 30, 2018
On the heels of the successful Women’s March on NJ where over 15,000 people peacefully and joyfully assembled to show their Power to the Polls, Action Together New Jersey (ATNJ) announces the appointment of four outstanding women as Regional Directors.
In a grassroots activist group where dedicated volunteers make all the difference, 95 percent of the leadership at ATNJ are women who have persisted in their efforts to educate, organize, and mobilize everyday citizens into civic action. With 19 county chapters statewide covering every county, ATNJ county co-chairs are the local change agents. Regional Directors will help provide support to county Co-Chairs by providing strategy on a regional perspective, reaching out to other groups and leaders, and continuing to build relationships with the Democratic party and elected officials.
Gina Trish, previous State Assembly candidate for LD 24, is the Northwest Regional Director for Warren, Sussex, and Morris counties.
Danielle Davies, who ran for Freeholder of Cape May County, is the Southern Regional Director for Atlantic, Cape May, Salem, and Cumberland counties.
Rielly Karsh, who recently won Town of Clinton Council, is the Central Regional Director for Hunterdon, Somerset, Mercer, and Union counties.
Anna Wong, grassroots organizer and coalition leader for NJ 5, is the Northeast Regional Director for Passaic, Bergen, Hudson, and Essex counties.
“Our county co-chairs are the heart of our on-the-ground organization and our Regional Directors’ support of their efforts to educate and mobilize first-time activists into action will be tremendously helpful in light of the important mid-term elections. However, we believe that our critical work is to help bring more progressives, young people, women, and communities of color into the Democratic party so that we can carry on the work of legacy Democrats and at the same time, bring forth more inclusiveness and higher engagement. I am honored that these powerful women will devote their time in helping their communities with our organization.” Uyen “Winn” Khuong, Executive Director, ATNJ.
